18csubjective - personal (not objective) / subject - me, who recognize and construct the world.
As I mentioned, before 18c, subjectum means the core elements, objective, unchangeable thing under the world. But Descartes and Kant change this. According to that, the most important thing under the world was 'I', not a thing. 'I' am the one who can recognize and construct the world and make some meanings. So Kant use the word Subject as I. And later when it became subjective, it become a word that we know. It means personal feelings or thought, not an object thing.
