My Definition of LUCK

Before Research

A luck is something causes good things or bad things.

→
After Research

Although “luck” refers to fortunate or chance occurrences, if we attribute all such events solely to luck, the significance of our actions may be diminished.

The evidence that changed my thinking

After learning about the meaning of “providence” and its various synonyms, as described above, I defined luck as something that does not simply bring about good or bad things.

How the thinking moved
I used to think…
First, I think it is just a luck that causes good or bad things.
I discovered…
While searching for words related to “luck,” I came across a word with an interesting distinction: “providence.” This word refers to a predetermined plan and has a positive connotation. However, the biggest difference is that “luck” involves chance, whereas “providence” is predetermined.
